Live PD is in Lafayette. I love the show, but also hate it. Live PD doesn’t show the positives of this city, just strictly the negative. It leaves Lafayette with a negative connotation. People are resisting arrest, arguing, and using violence (with and without guns); this does not make someone watching think that Lafayette is a nice OR safe place to live.

Additionally, 28% of Lafayette consists of black residents, while 90% of the arrests shown on the program are black. The show is giving the respectable people of color a bad name, especially the ones who live in this city. The show may be amusing to watch but will make you cringe when they are in your town.
